Titanosaurus

Titanosaurus is a dinosaur like kaiju, first appeared in the movie Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975).

Titanosaurus (Terror of Mechagodzilla, 1975)

Titanosaurus is an aquatic creature. It was the ally of Mechagodzilla in the movie Terror of Mechagodzilla, and it fought against Godzilla. It is actually said to be "not evil", but rather quiet and friendly. But since it was under aliens control, it was aggressive towards humans in the movie. But in his fight with Godzilla, he retrieved as soon as he was free from the control of aliens. This is also a sign that he's not trying to hurt or harm anyone. But it could've become aggressive because of humans harassing it for no reason. It's also the first original enemy of Godzilla, since Godzilla hadn't fought with Titanosaurus in the past.

Titanosaurus is a massive kaiju, being 10 meters taller than Godzilla. And since it's an aquatic creature, it can reach a speed of 200 kilometres an hour underwater, which makes it impossible for Godzilla to fight Titanosaurus in water.

His main weapons are his jaws and his tail. It can create destructive winds and even tornados with the help of its tail. And his jaws are no joke, since he even lifted up Godzilla, a creature weighs on 20.000 metric tons, with its jaw. However, since he was being controlled with the help of a device, its biggest weakness is supersonic rays, which causes him intense pain.

Titanosaurus's biggest weakness, supersonic rays

In the movie,  we learn that Titanosaurus was found by a scientologist. The scientologist dedicated his life to invent a device to control this kaiju. Eventually, he made the device 15 years later, in 1975, with the help of aliens that made Mechagodzilla. With his invention, the calm and peaceful Titanosaurus suddenly became a threat to humanity. It teamed up with Mechagodzilla to fight with Godzilla, but Godzilla took down Mechagodzilla with ease. After that, the JSDF weakened Titanosaurus with supersonic rays, freeing him from the control of aliens and causing him to retrieve.

Other than his debut, Titanosaurus hasn't appeared in another Godzilla movie yet. But still, he has many appearances in games, comics and novels.

This is the end of this post. Now you know at least something new about our dinosaur friend, Titanosaurus!
