Godzilla (Gojira)

    Godzilla is one of the many creatures in the Monsterverse. It's a reptile-dinosaur like creature and it's over 100~ meters tall. It has very strong arms and a powerful jaw. It's main weapon is the "Atomic Blast".

    Godzilla is the main protagonist in many Monsterverse films. His first appearance is in the movie "Godzilla", released in 1954. This is the first version of Godzilla, as it can be seen on the left picture. It's body is really thinner than the modern Godzilla, and it's head is more curved. As years go by, 35 more films have been released. And in every new film, we can see Godzilla changing biologically and physically, becoming more stronger than ever.

    There are currently 4 eras of the Monsterverse franchise: Showa, Heisei, Milennium and the Reiwa era. The films released in these eras are made by Japanese studios. But the Godzilla everyone knows today (Godzilla 2014) is an American production. 

    In every film, Godzilla usually fights an enemy. These enemies differ from film to film, or era to era. The one we see the most (both as an enemy or a companion) is Mothra; a giant moth creature. It's followed by King Ghidorah and Rodan. These creatures can be seen on multiple films, but there are also ones we can only see in the comics, like Muto Prime etc.

    The plot of the films usually follows the same thing: Godzilla attacking and destroying an entire city. But why would he do such a thing? Well, in most of the films we can see Godzilla being awakened by some sort of radiation and trying to reach the source of it. This is (most of time) comes from a city. We can also see the fights Godzilla have with other kaijus.

    Godzilla fights with other kaijus in a lot of different ways. Like we said before, he has a strong physic. But his most iconic weapon is his atomic blast. Godzilla can sense the radiation around it and emit the radiation from its source, which powers Godzilla in a terrifying way. We can see this being done in the Godzilla: King of the Monster (2019) movie, where the Dr. Ishiro Serizawa sacrifices himself by detonating a bomb, which literally fuels Godzilla, helping it beat Monster Zero. We can see Godzilla destroy his enemies with his atomic blast multiple times.

    Yeah, Godzilla is really really strong, but is there only one Godzilla? The answer is, no. There are multiple Godzilla's (since Godzilla died in some of the movies, and the new ones were born), but there are also multiple forms of Godzilla, like SpaceGodzilla and Mecha Godzilla. However the other Godzilla forms are not as friendly as the Godzilla we know. But we'll talk about the other forms in a different post.

Battra

      Battra is a moth kaiju, first appeared in the movie Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992). Battra Imago (Godzilla vs. Mothra, 1992)       At ancient times, the Earth was perfectly balanced. Until some scientists created a device to control Earth's climate. This harassed Earth and thus Battra, aka the Black Mothra was created. It sought out to destroy everything offending Earth and its system. After Battra destroyed the device, it got out of control and tried to destroy humanity. Motra fought with Battra and sealed him in the North Sea.       In the movie, a meteor impacts Earth and awakens Battra. Coming back to life in its Larva Form, Battra destroys an entire city (also a group of JSDF) and moves on. After a while, he comes across Godzilla and Mothra fighting each other. He knocks out Mothra and attacks Godzilla instead, seeing him as a bigger threat. Later on their fight, a volcano appears in the ocean and both of them fell into it and the JSDF count both of them as "dead".

Titanus Rodan

      Rodan is a fiery winged creature appeared in the Monsterverse. It's also called the "Fire Demon", as we see it coming to life from volcanic areas or even volcanos (Godzilla: KotM, 2019). It is inspired by the flying reptile Pterodactyl, and appeared in a lot of films throughout the movies. Rodan's first ever appearance (Rodan, 1956)      First version of Rodan we see in this movie appears to be more brown than the most recent Rodan (2019) we've seen. Also it's skin appears to be not fiery at all, since Rodan in the movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters is constantly in flames.          Rodan usually uses it's wings or it's giant beak to attack cities and other kaijus. Biollante

  Biollante is a genetically modified plant kaiju, first appeared in the movie Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989). It's the first major kaiju that is based on a plant instead of an animal. Biollante's "Plant Beast" form (Godzilla vs. Biollante, 1989)     Biollante has two forms: Plant Beast and Flower Beast. Its Flower Beast form is a lot weaker compared to its other form. Plant Beast, however, is quite strong and deadly. Flower Beast's head is a rose, but Plant Beast's head is resembling a crocodile like head. Also it's equipped with deadly wines all over its body, also carrying a massive red thing on its chest, probably a heart or a brain.     Biollante's first from (Flower Beast) didn't have much. It was just a rose with a jaw, and also wines around it, capable of spreading spores. But its second form (Plant Beast) is much deadlier.
